Bio

In 2005 Jess saw her first cyclocross race when her husband convinced her to come watch him compete. The next weekend she showed up with her own bike, won her race, and the rest was history. Starting off in the Women's C (now Cat 4) field, she upgraded to B (Cat 3) the following year, then to A (Cat 2) the year afterwards. Her cyclocross highlight was placing 7th at Nationals in 2006 in Providence, RI.

Although cross is what lead Jess to racing, her true love is mountain biking. In 2006 she won the EFTA Sport and Root 66 Sport classes. In 2007 she upgraded to Expert and won the Root 66 Expert class. That year she placed 6th at Nationals in Mount Snow, VT. In 2008 she moved from New England to Asheville and was humbled by the serious mountains here! She picked up racing form again in 2009 and placed 3rd at ORAMM and 2nd at the Swank, as well as podium-ing at a handful of SERC races.

Jess is now back on the bike again for 2011 after taking a year off to have her daughter, and looking forward to representing Team Prestige Subaru on the mountain and cross bikes again!
